New Delhi, February 8 (ANI): Brazilian Defence minister Celso Amorim met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today in New Delhi to boost military ties. The meeting took place at Singh s 7Race Course Residence in the national capital and was also attended by National Security Advisor, Shiv Shankar Menon. Both countries, boasting large armies, hope to reduce their technological dependence on other advanced nations and were due to discuss the possibility of scientific and technological cooperation in military hardware and software development. Amorim is also expected to discuss naval cooperation with an emphasis on plans to build aircraft carriers and Scorpene class submarines.
