Palamu, February 04 (ANI): A Maoist abductee Sunesh Kumar, recently released from captivity, emotionally appealed to the government on Friday to hold talks with the ultras and find a permanent solution to the simmering conflict. Maoists had abducted Kumar, a bodyguard of the local Gadhwa district council's president Sushma Mehta, in Jharkhand in January, to pressurise the government on ending all counter insurgency operations and withdraw police and security forces from the strife ridden region. Following the intervention of a civil society group, the People's Union of Civil Liberties (PUCL), the ultras released Kumar earlier in the day in Palamu district of the province.
