New Delhi, January 20 (ANI): The telecom giant Vodafone won a tax case worth $2.2 billion against India s tax office on Friday. The Supreme Court ruled that India s tax office has no jurisdiction over Vodafone s purchase of mobile assets in India Hailing the Court s verdict, Senior Counsel Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing Vodafone, said that the decision was not affected by the huge amount of sum involved in the case. Singhvi added that he verdict comes as a big relief to foreign investors in the country as well and would set a precedent for similar cases running in the court.
