Imphal, September 08 (ANI): Six active cadres of insurgent groups in Manipur ave up their arms and surrendered to the state police and the paramilitary Assam Rifles at Imphal on Tuesday. The surrendered militants were from the outlawed People's Liberation Army (PLA), Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) and United People's Party of Kangleipak (UPPK). The surrendered cadres have been identified as Wangba, H. Gyaneshwar and L Priyobarta alias Meino Singh of PLA, R K Naocha of UPPK and N. Dolen and H. Ngongo of KCP. All the six militant cadres deposited their arms, which included a US made M 16 rifle, an AK 47 rifle and four 9mm pistols with several rounds of live ammunitions of each one of them.
