Description
Hyderabad, September 08 (ANI): The savoured haleem dish, a mouthwatering delicacy of Hyderabad city, has been awarded the coveted Geographical Indication (GI) status, clearing the way for a possible patent of the dish in the future. The haleem will now be called 'Hyderabad Haleem' after it was given geographical indication status by the Geographical Indications (GI) of Government of India. Muslims enjoy haleem, the Ramadan months' most popular dish that hails from the south. Made from mutton or chicken or a combination of the two, the meats are stewed with spices, wheat and lentils until tender.
