Thiruvananthapuram /Mumbai,September 07 (ANI):A nationwide strike called by trade unions to protest the failure of the government to curb the rising inflation backed by Communist parties had mixed effect across India.In Thiruvananthapuram,markets were closed and public transport remained off roads.Banks,schools and businesses were worst affected and most people preferred to stay indoors during the strike.Many locals disapproved of such arm twisting tactics that cause grave inconvenience to the common people.
