Moradabad, July 08 (ANI): The centuries old brass industry in Moradabad city is facing a tough competition from an alloy called pewter. In the last few years, Moradabad, popularly known as the city of brass, saw a sharp decline in brassware business. According to media reports, the dip was seen due to the rising costs of the metal and abolition of subsidy by the government. As a result, Pewter, a tin based alloy is gaining popularity both in India and abroad.
